Wyoming Family Caregiver Support Program¶
Meeting the long-term care needs of loved ones who need help is often a demanding, around-the-clock job.****Support is available for many Wyoming caregivers through the National Family Caregiver Support Program
What does the program offer?**Help can include respite support to allow caregivers to have temporary breaks from responsibilities, support group connections and help to provide specific, needed services.
Eligibility¶
- Applicant age: at least 18
- Care recipient age: at least 60
- Relationship: spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, other relative, non relative

- Does the person receiving care live in Wyoming? Residency is usually the first thing a program checks.
- Does your relationship to the person (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, other relative, or non relative) count for this program?
- Is the person receiving care in the covered age range (60 or older)?
- Is there a caregiver-specific department, coordinator, or support line? Ask for it by name. Many agencies have one that isn’t advertised on the website.
- What documents do you need from us to start an application?
- Is there a waitlist right now, and how long is it?
