Paid Parent Caregiving

Paid Parent Caregiving allows eligible parents, stepparents, adoptive parents, legal guardians, or civil union partners to be paid Medicaid rates for providing personal care services to children under 21 with a documented medical condition or disability. Adults may be paid up to 40 hours per week at the Collectively Bargained minimum rate for services provided in the home.

Eligibility

  • Care recipient must have a qualifying disability
  • Care recipient age: under 21
  • Relationship: spouse, parent

How to apply

  • The individual must provide an attestation to the Children's Personal Care Program that children's personal care services are unavailable from a personal care attendant
