VA Aid & Attendance Pension Supplement

Monthly pension supplement for wartime veterans (or their surviving spouses) who need help with activities of daily living, are bedridden, or reside in a nursing home. This is a pension-based benefit, distinct from the VA Caregiver program (PCAFC). Provides enhanced monthly pension payments above the basic VA pension rate. Veterans must have served during a wartime period and meet income/net worth limits.

Dec 1, 2025 – Nov 30, 2026 rates (+2.8% COLA): Single veteran with A&A up to $29,093/yr (~$2,424/mo); veteran with one dependent up to $34,488/yr (~$2,874/mo); surviving spouse with A&A up to $18,697/yr (~$1,558/mo). Must be a wartime veteran (or surviving spouse), age 65+ or permanently disabled, and need help with activities of daily living, be bedridden, or reside in a nursing home.
