Nevada Structured Family Caregiving

Nevada's Structured Family Caregiving program pays family caregivers a daily stipend through the Nevada Structured Family Caregiving Medicaid waiver to provide in-home care to persons with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias as an alternative to nursing facility placement. The caregiver must live with the care recipient. Spouses may serve as caregivers. Dementia-specific population similar to Missouri's SFC program.

Pays family caregivers a daily stipend for providing in-home care to Medicaid-eligible persons with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias who require a nursing facility level of care. The caregiver receives a minimum of 65% of the Medicaid per diem rate.

Eligibility

  • U.S. citizenship or qualified immigrant status required
  • Care recipient must have a qualifying disability
  • Care recipient age: at least 0
  • Must live with care recipient
