Rhode Island Temporary Caregiver Insurance (TCI)

Temporary Caregiver Insurance (TCI) provides wage-replacement benefits to Rhode Island workers who need to take time off to care for a seriously ill family member or bond with a newborn, adopted, or foster child.

TCI offers up to 8 weeks of paid leave per benefit year. The weekly benefit rate ranges from a minimum of $148 to a maximum of $1,103 (excluding dependency allowances). Benefits are subject to federal and state taxes.
