Kinship Guardianship Assistance

Kinship Guardianship Assistance provides monthly payments and legal expense assistance to relatives and non-relatives caring for children after six months of placement in their home.

How to apply

• Primary service worker and supervisor confer that the child meets eligibility criteria; if guardianship assistance is requested, the worker completes the Guardianship Assistance Agreement (DCYF #031) and submits it to the Permanency Subsidy Coordinator for review, negotiation, and approval
