Illinois Caregiver Support Program

The Illinois Caregiver Support Program provides information, access assistance, counseling, support groups, caregiver training, respite, and limited supplemental services for family caregivers. The Illinois Department on Aging operates the program in partnership with Area Agencies on Aging and local community-service providers.

Provides caregiver information, help accessing services, referrals to counseling, support groups and caregiver training, respite care, and limited supplemental services. Illinois directs caregivers to local Caregiver Resource Centers, Area Agencies on Aging, or the Department on Aging Senior HelpLine for local intake and service availability.

Eligibility

  • Relationship: spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, other relative, non relative
