Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)¶
Federal law requiring covered employers to provide up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year for qualifying family and medical reasons, including caring for a spouse, child, or parent with a serious health condition.
Up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave in a 12-month period. Employer must maintain group health insurance during leave. Employee must be restored to same or equivalent position upon return. Qualifying reasons include: caring for spouse, child, or parent with serious health condition; employee's own serious health condition; birth/adoption of child.
Eligibility¶
- Employer must have 50+ employees
- Must have worked 1250+ hours
Services¶
