Florida ADRC, Elder Helpline, and 211 Resource Navigation¶
Florida caregivers can use the Department of Elder Affairs Aging and Disability Resource Centers, the statewide Elder Helpline, and Florida 211 to find local long-term care resources, caregiver supports, state and federal benefits, community services, housing, food, utilities, transportation, health care, mental health, disaster resources, and other referrals.
Florida's Department of Elder Affairs administers services through 11 Area Agencies on Aging that operate as Aging and Disability Resource Centers. The ADRCs provide a single coordinated system for information and access to long-term care resources, state and federal benefits, and local programs and services. The statewide Elder Helpline provides county-level information and assistance for elder services. Florida 211 is a 24/7 free confidential referral layer made up of 11 nationally accredited centers that connect people to local resources for food, housing, utilities, health care, transportation, child care, employment, mental health crises, disaster information, and other needs.
