1915(i) State Plan Home and Community-Based Services

1915(i) State Plan Home and Community-Based Services provides Medi-Cal eligible elderly, disabled, and developmentally disabled individuals with home and community-based care services, allowing relatives to serve as paid providers.

Eligibility

• Care recipient must have a qualifying disability
• Care recipient age: at least 0
• Relationship: parent, other relative

How to apply

• For some waiver services, the first step to accessing benefits is as simple as contacting your local county social services office. For others, an assessment must be coordinated through the program administrator to determine eligibility. Participation in any waiver requires the establishment of Medi-Cal eligibility.
