GiveCare Benefits Corpus

GiveCare reference note for the current caregiver benefits corpus maintained in ../gc-benefits and projected into the public wiki, web benefits browser, and SMS runtime bundles.

Key information used in wiki

  • The canonical ../gc-benefits corpus currently has 377 caregiver-relevant program records in data/programs/*.json; docs/benefits/ renders those records into public wiki pages.
  • The registry strategy adds normalized sidecars for authorities, agencies, fulfillment channels, and an authority-by-jurisdiction coverage matrix. Local source data currently includes 55 authority records, 133 agency records, and 25 fulfillment records.
  • Program pages in docs/benefits/ are generated or refreshed from ../gc-benefits source data; update the source data before regenerating wiki projections.
  • data/exports/resources.json is a generated projection from wiki frontmatter, not an independent source store; gc-sms validates and copies the complete owner export set.
  • The corpus groups programs by federal, state, local, private, territorial, and tribal scope so caregiver-facing pages can route people to the most relevant program family without implying eligibility certainty.
  • Public benefit pages remain pre-screening and navigation material. Official agencies, program administrators, or benefit portals remain authoritative for eligibility, application, and adjudication.
  • Current corpus-development priorities are proof and freshness rather than raw record count: close stale records, attach primary-source field evidence, work queued source candidates, and promote records to runtime recommendation only when they are verified, actionable, rule-backed, gap-free, and field-evidenced.
