West Virginia Caregiver Support and FAIR Respite¶
West Virginia caregiver support is available through the Aging and Disability Resource Network and related aging programs. The FAIR program provides in-home respite for family caregivers of people with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia, and the Aging and Disability Resource Network helps connect families to caregiver support, respite, support groups, and long-term services.
The West Virginia Aging and Disability Resource Network can help people find caregiver support, respite care, support groups, long-term care options, personal care, meals, transportation, and related resources. The FAIR program gives family caregivers of people with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia relief time for errands, appointments, shopping, visiting family and friends, or rest; caregivers can receive up to 16 hours of relief per week based on need and staff availability.
