Social Services Block Grant (Title XX)¶
Federal block grant to states for a wide range of social services including adult protective services, childcare, home-based services, foster care, and services for the disabled and elderly. Administered by ACF/HHS under CFDA 93.667. States have broad discretion in how funds are allocated.

Annual federal appropriation approximately $1.7 billion. No individual entitlement — states set their own eligibility and benefit levels.
