Ohio PASSPORT Waiver Self-Directed Option / Structured Family Caregiving¶
Ohio's PASSPORT waiver (Pre-Admission Screening System Providing Options and Resources Today) is one of the largest HCBS waiver programs in the country. The consumer-directed option allows Medicaid-eligible participants to hire and manage their own attendants, including family members and spouses. Ohio also offers Structured Family Caregiving through Careforth and the MyCare Ohio managed care plan includes self-direction.
