Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services says Missouri has 10 Area Agencies on Aging that cover every county in the state and serve as local experts on programs and services in their planning and service areas. DHSS caregiver-services guidance says Area Agencies on Aging provide family caregiver supports including information about available services, assistance gaining access to services, counseling, support groups, caregiver training, respite care, and supplemental services. United Way 211 of Missouri and Illinois is a 24/7 connection to resources and agencies, with directory search, phone, chat, and text options; United Way of Central Missouri says Missouri residents can call 2-1-1 for confidential referrals for basic needs, physical and mental health resources, support for older adults and people with disabilities, children, youth, families, volunteer opportunities, and non-emergency help.
