Participants may hire their own Personal Assistants (PAs), including family members, though spouses cannot serve as PAs. The program is integrated into the state plan with no formal waitlist. Eligibility¶
- Household income at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level
- Care recipient must have a qualifying disability or need for assistance
- Must be a resident of IL
- Must be Medicaid-eligible
- No asset test required
