Florida Community Care for the Elderly (CCE)¶
The Florida Community Care for the Elderly (CCE) program, administered by the Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA) through Area Agencies on Aging and Lead Agencies, provides community-based services to help functionally impaired older adults (60+) live in the least restrictive environment suitable to their needs. Services can support family caregivers through in-home and community assistance including homemaker services, personal care, home-delivered meals, transportation, adult day care, respite, and case management.
CCE delivers in-home and community services that help functionally impaired older adults live in the least restrictive environment suitable to their needs. Eligible clients may receive adult daycare or adult day health care, case management, chore or homemaker services, companionship, emergency alert response, home-delivered meals, home health aide, home nursing, personal care, respite, shopping assistance, transportation, and other community-based services. Eligibility requires the care recipient to be 60+ and functionally impaired, with primary consideration for older adults referred by Adult Protective Services after abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Services are accessed through local Aging and Disability Resource Centers or the Elder Helpline: 1-800-963-5337.
