DC ADRC and 211 Warmline Resource Navigation¶
District of Columbia caregivers can use the Aging and Disability Resource Center, DC Support Link, ADRC service-provider locations, and the 211 Warmline to find local aging, disability, long-term services and supports, caregiver, respite, waiver, SNAP, discharge planning, housing, health, government program, and community support referrals.
The DC Aging and Disability Resource Center helps older adults and people with disabilities locate supportive services and eldercare resources so they can continue living in their community. The ADRC provides information about in-home and community-based services and has staff such as social workers, an options counselor, an income maintenance liaison, a housing coordinator, and public health advisors. Listed topics include waiver and SNAP benefits assistance, options counseling, hospital and nursing home discharge planning, DC Caregivers Institute, lifespan respite care, and long-term care planning. DC Health Care Finance describes the ADRC as a single, coordinated system of information and access for long-term services and supports for older adults, adults with disabilities, and caregivers, and describes DC Support Link as the District's No Wrong Door Initiative for residents needing LTSS and their families. DC.gov lists ADRC locations and service providers that plan and deliver direct services to elderly residents, adults 18 and older with disabilities, and caregivers. The DC 211 Warmline is the District's centralized hub for social service resources and referrals and directs residents to call 211 to connect with a call agent.
